Given the success of Casino hotels like Paris, New York New York, and The Venetian, the latest addition to the Las Vegas strip was bound to follow the same playbook, but developers wanted to shake things up.

“Sure, we could have gone with a London or Moscow theme but people are more discerning these days so we had to look beyond the obvious”

It didn’t take them long to realize what that less obvious choice was – Pittsburgh.

“We’re super excited about the potential for sports tie-ins, and classic Pittsburgh delicacies like Primanti’s sandwiches and ‘O’ fries are tailor made for a fun casino atmosphere. “

The looming glass structure inspired by the PPG building dwarfs the Eiffel tower of neighbor Paris. Inside, different Pittsburgh neighborhoods are represented throughout the gaming floors, including a full size replica of Carson Street on the South Side from 15th to 17th street.

“Next time you’re in Sin City, why not join us in Marios for the nightly pierogi eating contest.”

They’re also confident they can empty the seats in the Caesar’s Palace theatre given the Marquee entertainment they have lined up to compete with Celine Dion.

“We are pleased to announce that Donny Iris will be following in the footsteps of The King and taking up residency on our main stage.”

Gamblers will also be able to enjoy the music of house band The Clarks year round.

The Yinzer Palace Hotel and Casino is slated to open for business in early 2016
